 | I am 87 years and started attending the club fitness classes after the closure of Tamarisk centre in Littlehampton. I try to attend when I can and I do all the fitness exercises sitting on the chair. The instructors are very friendly and make a lot of jokes. All classes are fun and I end up attending all of them. I also love the music during the fitness. I have to keep moving for my health and social life. I have made good friends who check on me on a regular basis.  | I started attending gentle fitness classes two years ago. I had a lot of pain in my legs and could not stand for long. I was also struggling with arthritis in my arms and legs. I like watching cycling but was not able to stand. I had to take a chair to sit down while watching which was useless. A few months of regular exercise, the pain in my legs started subsiding and my health began improving. By the next cycling event, I was able to stand half of the time watching cycling for the first time in many years. For the last six moths, I have been doing fitness standing although it is a sitting exercise. The fitness also made it possible to start going for long walks to the beach and back without any pain.
